Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted continued cloudy weather for the next three days, with the likelihood of light rain accompanied by lightning in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
The Division also predicts the possibility of general rainfall in the hilly areas of the far-western and mid-western regions starting from today. Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini stated that rain is expected in the hilly regions of various provinces, along with potential snowfall in higher elevations.
Pudasaini explained that Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of westerly winds and local winds, resulting in partly cloudy conditions in hilly areas, particularly in the Koshi province. He noted that although the eastern part of the country experienced rainfall earlier, the western region remained dry.
According to the Division's forecast, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning may occur at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as at one or two places in the Madhes province and other hilly regions within the next 24 hours.
